Each round you spin for a random NHL team and era, like the 1980s Oilers or the 1970s Canadiens. Rafters covers every franchise from 1967 to today.
Pick one player from that team's roster to fill an open slot. You need six: a center (C), a left wing (LW), a right wing (RW), two defensemen (D) and a goalie (G). Ratings run from 25 to 98, so every pick matters.
Don't like the draw? You get one team reroll and one era reroll per draft. Save them for when they count.
After six picks your team plays an 84-game season. The result depends mostly on your roster and your Draft IQ, with only a little luck. Go 84-0 and raise the banner.
Each pick is scored against the best player you could have taken for that slot. Take the best card and the pick scores 100; every rating point below it costs 10. Your Draft IQ is the average of your six picks. Play five games in a week to make the weekly Draft IQ ladder, which resets every Monday.
Choose the team you cheer for under My Stats (you can change it once a week). Every card you draft goes into your collection. Draft a franchise's greats to raise their banners, find rare combos like a Family Business or an Original Six roster, and your best seasons go into your Hall of Fame.
